BRG Racing 1/5th Turn Throttle Kit Installation Instructions | ||

1. You'll need these tools. One of which, a short tubing cutter, is not something most people have on hand. 2. You'll need to take the throttle assembly apart and take the cables off of the carbs. This will require that you pull the tank back or off. 3. Take the Throttle "pull" side of the cable out of the housing. |

4. Take the cutter and cut off 1/4 of an inch of the metal end cap, as seen inFigure 1. | |
| 5. Then take a pair of diagonal cutting pliers and cut through the ring of steel tube that has just been cut off and remove it from the cable. Figure 2 shows the cable after cutting. |

A side note on the tube end cap cutting: Use a tubing cutter not a hacksaw. If you nick the cable IT WILL BREAK eventually. | |

6. Now you're ready to put the adapter piece on the throttle spool. It clips right on as in Figure 4. Then just reassemble. | |

7. You will need to re-adjust the throttle cable at the carbs first and for fine tuning at the throttle grip. What we have found works is to take the cables and put the two adjustment nuts on one side as inFigure 5. If you have any further questions, give us a call. |
